Abbey is officially a Therapy Dog

It’s hard to believe her amputation was just 4 months ago.

We are turning this tough situation into an opportunity to help others.

Abbey passed her test last month and her paperwork just came today.  She rocked the test, I must say she did better than most of the quad paws.

We will visit hospitals and other facilities. She had her first session before she had even taken the test. We ran into a veteran in a wheelchair who had lost his leg, the immediate bond was inspirational!

  1. Great job Abby & Valerie. I wanted to do that with Sassy but never had a chance to 🙂

  2. Awesome!
I wish I had done something like this with Tri-pug Maggie- she had a great temperament and would have loved visiting. I have another chance now with Tri-puggle Elly, and Abbey is our inspiration!

The lives Abbey will touch…the inspiration she will offer…OMD!! I know my heart is touched!!

The connection between Abbey and the Veteran…so pure…so genuine.

That photo of Ab ey sitting so proud, so nobel, so ENLIGHTENED! Yes, she is indeed an enlightened Soul who has a lot of lessons to teach us all! And I think she has some pretty enlightened humans by her side too!

It’s such a lovely way to, as you said, “turn this tough situation into a way to help others.” Thank you so much for that. Quite a legacy for Miss Abbey! This dog has a mission and she’s in it! 🙂
